the closest to a V is the discontinued SA-1232 by atlas. not only is it closer in sound, it mounts as a V vs the other drivers with a plate adapter.

failing finding that, the  HS ferro although bright can be tamed with a resistor as can any of the adapter type atlas varieties made for leslies.
the selenium is not boring, as i've heard, either.
depends on what you think you need to hear.
