Subject:Re: korg kronos for organ

It is the same engine as the digital CX-3, tweaked along the lines of
the BX-3/CX-3 v2 model, which was a little mellower.  I've been told
that it has some 'additional tweaks,' but these are a) unconfirmed; and
b) probably minor.  The Korg organ engine, unfortunately, is approaching
20 years old (the CX-3 came out in either 1999 or 2000), and I don't
think Korg has put many resources into it lately.  It holds its own
against the competition of its day -- i.e., the VK-7/VK-8, the Electro
2, and the XK-2.  It's probably a perfect 'free' addition to the
Kronos/Oasys, because any 2000-ish clonewheel did not need -- or have --
a lot of CPU resources.
