Subject:Re: Lounsberry Tall and Fat

Hey Dr Dan, I have a tall and fat, and I used it once with my Mojo, for a gig, and after that I stopped using it.. here’s the reason.. to use the Tall&Fat I had to disable the internal Mojo leslie sim, and install the T&F in between the Mojo and my Ventilator leslie pedal.. (the T&F is designed to be inserted before the leslie sim).. and while it sounded OK, it didn’t seem to me to make enough of an improvement to carry TWO devices (T&F+External Leslie Sim)..

However, two things...

First, in my opinion, the Mojo has a much better internal leslie sim and overdrive than the SK1 does.. (my opinion of course, but many would agree) SO the sonic improvement you will hear in the sound of the SK1 will be much more significant than I heard with my Mojo!! If I was gigging with an SK I could see myself carrying a Ventilator and a T&F to improve the sound of it.

Second, if you don’t have a ventilator pedal, Loundsberry has a new model of the T&F, it’s called the Tall&Fat&Wide and this is a stereo model that can be used AFTER the internal leslie sim. I have never tried this model, and I can’t speak to how well it sounds post internal leslie sim, but from what I hear, I expect that this pedal would make a significant improvement in the sound of an SK1/2.

Hope this helps.
