Goff,

I’m having a little trouble understanding what you’re describing here with respect to the “Lester”. The Lester is a leslie sim pedal... whereas I think what you are describing is micing a real “Leslie”.. so this is looking like an autocorrect issue?? So what you’re saying is that micing the real leslie was much better than using a vent through the FOH.. ? Your post makes a lot more sense if we replace the word Lester with Leslie.. the fact that a Lester is a real leslie pedal makes your post a tad confusing..

From my experience, in a large venue, I don’t think you’re going to hear much difference between a real Leslie mic’d through the FOH and a Ventilator pedal sent directly into the FOH.. unless you’re close enough to hear the real leslie directly..

Also, I have no idea what world you live in that roadies are abundant these days.. I haven’t had a roadie in decades, and neither myself and any of my band mates, or friends, are at all interested in taking an end of a real B3 or a real leslie.. That’s kind of why this forum exists..
