Thanks for the reply. It's pretty much what I was expecting, to be honest!

I've had a look at the sysex files in a text editor, and there's a degree of similarity, but not enough to make me think I could copy whole 'paragraphs' (i.e. the entry for an individual patch) from one to the other.

Even if I knew that, say, characters 24 to 48 in each patch corresponded to the drawbar settings, I could do half the editing on a PC instead of having to use the front panel controls.


It's a shame there was never any librarian/patch editor software created for these models, like there seems to be for the XB-2!

One day, if I have a LOT of time on my hands, I might try and work out the file format enough to edit offline, just not today...
