I'll have to give your band a listen!! I didn't notice all the links in your epilog..
Regarding the Ferrofish B4000, I have to say that I have never heard a good demo of it, every demo I've heard sounded completely rinky dink (probably why it wasn't a successful product).. However, I'm not sure if I've actually heard it through a good leslie sim like the Ventilator or the Burn.. that will often take a crappy sounding old clone and dramatically improve it.
If you haven't already pulled the trigger on it.. I would seriously think about spending just a tad more and getting an HX3 module.. it doesn't have the drawbars (but you can use any cheap controller for that).. and it can be bought for just over $700 (less if you can find a used one) and it sounds absolutely awesome. It's right up there with the best clones available today..
Personally, based on what I've heard, I wouldn't bother with the FerroFish.. it's an orphan product that sounds crappy. Just my opinion of course.
