Doug, You have misinterpreted my comments. I was not suggesting that VB3 is better, I merely used it as an example that I am intimately familiar with. In fact, I clearly ended my original post suggesting that "B5 may be based on spectacular samples and sound better than VB3". My comments were directed at Mark because of his suggestion that "B5 is sampled, giving it incredible realism". In my opinion, it's not the samples that makes a clone sound incredibly realistic (if that was true we'd all be using the organ samples in our workstations rather than these dedicated clones!!). What separates the average clone from a superb clone, is how the other aspects of the instrument are modelled. You can sample raw tones of a Hammond or create them digitally (because they are basic sine waves), it doesn't really matter how you get the sine waves. It's what you do with those waves that really matters.
If B5 is a better solution for you, that's wonderful.. Your comments are always welcome but let's move on. Post your B5 clips whenever you can, I'm sure everyone, including myself, would love to hear it.
