I tried a couple XK-5's early on and both did have quite a few problems -
I'm getting a new one next week - hopefully it will work well! I have an
SK1 that I'm keeping for garage band type jobs (I did, however, sell my
C2). What makes the XK-5 great to me are the multiple key contacts (you
can choose to just use the high contact, the low contact, or all three -
using the three makes a huge improvement in the way it plays and sounds),
the 4 full sets of drawbars, and the preset keys - I doubt any of these
features would make it into the 'new SK'... But, an SK with the XK-5
sound engine and Leslie sim would blow the competition away!
