Subject:Re: Best Hammond Organ Clone 2017

I don't have an iphone and I don't use my phone to do anything other than make calls and text. I don't have a tablet either. And I find it incredibly inconvenient to have to connect to a laptop when I want to do editing. Every other keyboard and sound module I've ever owned since the 1990s has had a display and controls to edit right there so I don't need to rely on outside technology. The fact that you really can't do any meaningful editing on the Mojo 61 AT ALL without an external unit doesn't seem like a selling point to me.

The Xk3C I owned before my Mojo didn't equal the Mojo in terms of the quality of the Hammond emulation (it didn't), but for me its layout and editing interface and display were easy and intuitive to use, and, believe me, I'm not a programmer type. From a POV of doing anything other than "playing" the Mojo, its on-board interface is a disaster. For example, why do you need a read a manual to figure out you need to hold down the power button for SIX SECONDS to turn it off? And why do you need to make sure all external speakers are off before you turn it on unless you want to blow them out? Soundwise and playing wise, the Mojo is outstanding. From a standalone design and engineering standpoint, it's a throwback. Note I'm only talking about the original Mojo. I don't have a Mojo 61. I wish that I had known the Mojo 61 was coming out before I bought my Mojo because I probably would have gone for it--or for the DMC-122/Gemini combination--instead.
