Don't give up.

Try Test and Factory Init - see page 15 of Service Manual. Save your
data before doing it (as SysEx bulk dump in external device - MIDI
data filer, sequencer, SysEx utility).

If it doesn't help, I would check if there's any audio BEFORE muting
circuits. If yes, then I would check Power On signal and muting
transistors - starting with Q5.
