Subject:Re: VB3 reload

The B3 64 bit alternatives for OSX are the recently released B-5 from Acoustic Samples and Vintage B3 which is free with Logic X and MainStage 3.

B-5 is my current preference. It sounds better when AB'd with VB3 1.4 running inside 32 Lives. Sweeter top octave, better defined lower octaves, plus more realistic OD.

Given 32 lives costs the same as B-5 there seems to be little point in buying a wrapper to persevere with legacy software which the developer has no current interest in updating.

B-5 runs inside the free UVI player so it can also be used as a stand alone VI without a host like MainStage, or you just load it into your current DAW.

This plugin is not compatible with Pro Tools and is not guaranteed to work with 3rd party plugin format adapters.  VB3 could still show some incompatibilities with Digital Performer 7.x running in OSX from version 10.5.6. Please test the free demo version!')
