Subject:Re: Acoustic Samples B-5

Thanks again mskremote

I didn't bother to delete iLOK (B-5 was the only VST) but otherwise I pretty much did what you suggested including running CC Cleaner on the registry. I had previously used Winrar to extract the B-5 UFS and did so again. I'm running a 64 bit OS with 4GB RAM and an HD (not SSD) and this time round I made sure I installed the 64 bit version of everything, including the 64 bit version of Cantabile Lite. I haven't got round to installing the 64 bit version of Forte 4 (trial version) yet though.
The good news is that B-5 now runs in the 64 bit UVI Workstation VST in 64 bit Cantabile with low latency and I get plenty of volume. The not so good news is that although B-5 runs in 64 bit UVI Workstation standalone, the volume is very low and I don't see any way of saving anything, so it has to be set up each time it's used. This doesn't really matter to me though as I'm only interested in running B-5 as a VST, preferably in Forte but otherwise in Cantabile. The bad news is that I can''t run my 32 bit plugins in 64 bit Cantabile. So should I abandon 64 bit and download 32 bit versions of everything? (although I suspect I would be unable to run a 32 bit UVI Workstation on a 64 bit OS). Or should I bridge from 64 to 32 bit (although I haven't got much of a clue how to)Appreciate your assistance mskremote - I'm getting there slowly.
