Subject:Re: Acoustic Samples B-5

Seems like the you have resolve the issue with UVI Workstation used as a standalone first. UVI certify that the UVI Workstation works in Win 7 through to 10 32 and 64 bit.

UVI's recently released Falcon is a large and complex synth with a large user base. That would not be the case if UVI was flakey on Windows.

The issue could also be that some settings or the authorisation manager got trashed when UVI was first opened in Forte, now that you have established that UVI will not work in an earlier version of Forte.

Why not try deleting UVI, B5 and the authorisation manager, run a registry cleaner, and do a fresh install. There is a free version of Cantabile 3 available so you could then download that and see how UVI B5 runs in that before deciding to change hosts.

Also note that B-5 only runs in the latest version of UVI workstation. I had similar issues to those you first posted when I first got B-5 and did not update the existing version of UVI workstation I had installed.

Forte suggested I downloaded Forte 4 trial version (I had version 3) which I did but got the same behaviour. AS suggest that the problem may be that Forte have a limit on the size of the saved state file that can be saved. I've put that to Forte saying if they can sort it, I'll buy the Forte 4 upgrade, but so far no response.
