I've a shed load of emails between me and Acoustic Samples. They're a bit dismissive of Forte saying B-5 runs OK in all other major sequencers, implying that the problem must be Forte's fault. Forte suggested I downloaded Forte 4 trial version (I had version 3) which I did but got the same behaviour. AS suggest that the problem may be that Forte have a limit on the size of the saved state file that can be saved. I've put that to Forte saying if they can sort it, I'll buy the Forte 4 upgrade, but so far no response.

As for B-5 running flawlessly in AUI Workstation standalone, it certainly doesn't for me in Windows.
