I was forced into the music world kicking and screaming. When I was about 12 my parents bought a piano. At dinner that day my parents asked me how I liked the new piano? I said it's OK, like any uninterested teenager would. Then I asked what it was for?

My father explained that I was going to take piano lessons to which I protested "No I'm not" and he responded "Yes you are". Of course this went back-and-forth a few times becoming heated.

Then he leaned in closely and said in a very menacing voice "Either you are going to learn how to play that thing, or you are going to eat it, key by key for dinner until it's gone".

So, a new keyboard player was born! But I have to say it's one of the best things that ever happened to me. Thank you Dad!
