Wow this is getting intense…now we’re worried about how many real/virtual key contacts??? I wish I could afford a Mojo of any flavor…I still use my VR-09 and think it works well for me along with a Vent of course…To each his own I guess…It’s taking me forever to save up enough loot to “think” about buying a Kronos 88 and that’s with selling off some of stuff I have so the wife won’t kill me…YMMV…

LOL!!!!

Cheers everyone and Happy Pursuits,

Bruce, that's one of the points I was trying to subtly make in my earlier comments.. Here we are posing the question "What is the XK-5 going to do to the market place if it's as good as it claims to be", but this isn't a real product yet... Right now it's just hype..! Until it ships in volume and some of us players (and I mean non-Hammond "Artists") get our hands on it, it's just vaporware (to use your expression).

On one of the forums I participate in, I saw a guy cancel a Mojo order in April, while he proudly declared that he won't be purchasing a Mojo with the new XK-5 coming soon, and here we are 4 months later and the XK-5 is not shipping, and we haven't heard a demo of the internal Leslie sim. I'm pretty sure that October will roll around and they still won't be shipping then either, and the fact is that we don't even know if the XK-5 is going to sound as good as that Mojo yet. Will it sound better? Will it set a new bar? Who knows.. First things first, when will it ship in reasonable quantities that it will be available to the average Joe? (Probably 1Q 2017).

BTW, I heard a rumour that the HS had subcontracted building/coding the XK-5's new internal Leslie sim to some 3rd party company.. Can anyone confirm this, and tell us to whom this was subcontracted to? IF it was subbed to Neo instruments or Crumar/GSI that would be a very good thing..

JukeFox has one on order and delivery has been pushed back to October, with a caution that it may be later.
