I agree that they're just adapting existing technology to make a more
realistic playing experience. Personally I would rather see them come up
with a keybed with a longer pivot point like a real Hammond keyboard.
That would make the keyboard feel more natural, which I think is a
bigger deal than making it sound more like the original. Just my .02CAN.
