I think it's hard to make any kind of competitive speculation until the finished product is released.


From the demos I've heard, I don't feel that the new H/S B3 emulation is a giant step forward than their legacy XK sound. And mind you I owned an XK3c up until this year when I traded it for a Mojo. The multi-contact feature is great, but I wouldn't pay an extra $$3,000 more above the price of a Mojo for it.


In the end, I think the XK5 will be targeted mainly at houses of worship--H/S's traditional audience for higher-end clonewheels--and gigging musicians with lots of spare cash. As others have said, it's priced far too high for most musicians, and great clonewheels like the Mojo and even Hammond's SK series will do just fine for the vast majority.
