After reading a little bit about XK5 I found, that:

- each of three physical contacts switches on in different point
during the pressing the key, so delay fully depends on the player and
his/her playing style

- each physical contact sends it's own Note On/Off messages to MIDI,
so it can be recorded in sequencer and control the tone generator the
same way when played from MIDI

- it's possible to set attack, release and decay times

- 9 drawbars are assignable to physical contacts

That's very well invented!
