Subject:Re: O/T Quilter Amplifiers
when playing live in a group one may not miss the low frequencies of a piano which would get lost anyway with bass guitar and drums happening, leaving the essential mid-range to punch through as in a stereo track mix.
when you solo a piano track in a mix, in order for it to sit in a mix properly, one would shave off the lower frequencies that would only clobber or interfere with other instruments that are occupying those low frequencies. hence using a guitar amp for piano, while not as full sounding if the piano was in a solo act, works well for a group situation.
