Subject:Re: Burn problems

OK different guess now that I could hear them in my studio. Before I do, here’s a bit of a disclaimer… the Burn can be set up in SO many different ways that honestly, I think it could be made to sound like any of these examples.. There are so many parameters available. The same can be said for the Mojo, it has quite a few tweakable parameters.

I also find the file bit confusing.. when I listen to the animation and the noise from the mic, I think that the Mojo is number 3… but number three seems to colour the sound a bit more than number 2, and based on my experience the Vent does exactly that, colour the sound more. So based on EQ I think that the Mojo is number 2, however based on animation I think that the Mojo is number 3.. Then when I listened to number 1 again and I realize that number one is the most coloured sound of all three…. Which is indicative of the Ventilator (in my opinion)..

So keeping the disclaimer in mind, I’m going to change my guess to

Ventilator, Burn, Mojo

But I have no idea how the different sims are set (which algorithm was used on the Burn for example), so I could be completely wrong.. 😉

I would guess at Burn/Mojo/Vent but...

Okay. Here's the link to two versions of the three-way demo (folks on the Facebook clonewheel page have already seen this). One version is done direct to interface, the other uses a miked studio monitor.

Mojo is the source organ. Rotary emulations are The GSI Burn, the original Ventilator, and the Mojo's own internal sim.

However, I'm not telling you which is which in this demo so you can listen with an open mind. :)
