I use FC7’s with all my keyboards, and I have swapped the polarity (tip to ring, ring to tip) by creating some extension cables. This also allows me to route the cables more neatly on my stands (instead of having them hanging straight down I can route them on the uprights).

It takes about 15 minutes to make the cables - -

Norm – you have my private email and I’d be happy to put it together for you if you don’t have the soldering skills.

As far as the taper goes, I’d like to learn more about that but haven’t done it myself.

Anyone remember a post on here on how to modify the FC-7 to have a more even volume curve. I remember it but can't find it.
