Subject:Re: The New Crumar Mojo Action
Frederick,
It's not a big deal, I was just kidding.... but this does beg the question...in this world of clones with multiple organizations working on the perfection of hammond organ emulation, where do manufacturers get their ideas on how to improve their product?
I expect it's based on a lot of different input, end users suggestions/problems, their own research, reading discussion forums like this etc.. but to suggest that one manufacturer "copied" another manufacturers approach because they began emulating a similar feature or characteristic, is kind of pushing things a bit..
We wouldn't say that Nord "copied" Korg, Roland, Crumar, Keyb, and Hammond Suzuki because they switched from drawbuttons to drawbars would we?
I'm just splitting hairs here, and I was really just kidding you, but I think it is a rather bold statement to suggest that one company "copied" another company.. especially in this clone world where EVERYONE is trying to copy an original Hammond organ.
I see Crumar as leading the pack when it comes to innovation, and that's just my opinion, but they do seem to release a lot more product updates (adding functionality not fixes) than other clone companies.
Anyway, your suggestion that they "copied" Nord just struck me as funny.
