Subject:FS: DB-1, Road Leslie, Speakeasy AMA
Hi All,
I'm selling a couple of things that might be of interest to list
members. If there is no interest here, it's on to Reverb or Le Bay.
Please respond OFFLINE with any questions or offers (bw@ashbysolutions.com).
________
OCEAN BEACH DB-1
I have two of these, and am not likely to gig with them any more. Yes, I
love the feel of drawbars, but I'm finding that I can deal with the
drawbuttons on my NE3, and so the extra pieces and setup time are a
luxury, not a must-have. I'm still going to keep one of them for the
future. They are both in excellent shape, having been carried in a
padded space in a case when gigging. They are the slimmer 'version 2'
style. They have strips of Velcro on the bottom for mounting; I can
either leave them in place (and supply fresh strips of the other side),
or I can cleanly remove them and replace them with rubber feet.
________
'LOWBOY FROM HELL' ROAD LESLIE
I've been putting this sale off for a couple of years, but I'm not
likely to gig with a Leslie anymore, and I could use the space. This is
a Valhalla Woodworking 142/145 copy, with a few modifications for gigging:
* Covered in Rhino Lining (as used on truck beds), with oversize ABS
corners
* Back covers attach with Velcro for moving
* Eminence 800W woofer
* Selenium 225W tweeter with phenolic diaphragm -- sounds like the
Jensen or Atlas, but capable of getting WAY louder
* 600W+ crossover designed to original (image parameter) specs
* Recessed carrying handles
* SSR speed control with Fast/Slow/Stop
* Mechanical parts are from a 1968-vintage Leslie
Pictures can be seen here: http://music.ashbysolutions.com/lowboy/
The SSR control uses the same mounting as a stock Leslie amp, so it can
be replaced. It will easily take everything a 400W tube amp -- or
600-700W solid-state amp that isn't clipping -- can give. I've had
guitarists threaten to leave "I you don't turn down." ;-) I used it
with a Speakeasy AMA (below) and a 500W Hafler MOSFET power amp.
Included is a furniture dolly and custom 'fuzzy' furniture cover --
yeah, it's Rhino Liner, but add the cover and it will last forever.
Serious inquiries only, please.
________
SPEAKEASY ABSOLUTE MODELING AMP (AMA)
Stock 122 + preamp version in fantastic shape. It does NOT have a 6- or
11-pin interface. Rack mounted all its life, and never seen cigarette
smoke.
Only 10W, but add the power amp of your choice to push it to '11.'
