Subject:Digital Korg CX3 (no sound) using HX3 as controller

Wondering if anyone converted a Korg CX3 to an HX3 organ (I might add, that the CX3, imho, still is a good organ as a CX3) Seems to me the easy way (obviously) would be to use the HX3 expander and I have a Event Processor + if I need it. Nice if there were a complete conversion kit like the XB2.

I bought a CX3 with the sound not working but MIDI, cheaply as a controller.

I will mention too, to my surprise and the seller was shocked, I got the CX3 sound to work intermittently that actually worked first time I turned it on after it was shipped. Oddly seems to work if the organ sits a length of time or easier to get on.

Turning off, one has to turn on the organ 10s of times to get it to go on again and sometimes it doesn't. (all MIDI works) I cleaned all connectors on the boards visually examined caps and chips and it still does it. If you can get the native CX3 sound engine to go on, it will stay on until you turn the organ off.

Boot OS has no indicator that it is an operating system error like it was a failed update. It is V2 Seems like the DSP engine is not connecting on most boots. Tried another power supply I had. Same thing.

Serial 00000096

Now I am not upset about the organ not working as I bought as a controller but it would be nice too. Perhaps it is a motherboard replacement situation but maybe someone may have a suggestion or some factory special resets other than the default I read somewhere that might be available.
