is the MIDI implementation on the NUMAII improved over the NUMAI ? I also owned two but had to return both of them to Guitar Center. Guitar Center no longer carries the NUMA! LOVED the sound, but too buggy and little support. Leo

I look back on my experience with the original Numa with sadness :-(
Seriously, I loved the sound, and the layout! However, mine was buggy as hell, half way through a performance the controls started doing strange things.. Drawbars would start controlling overall volume and pitch and every control panel change would have completely unpredictable results... This happened several times.. Furthermore, the midi implementation was buggy, and as a controller it sucked (despite having huge potential as a 73 note controller).. The documentation sucked, not all midi modes were even documented, and you couldn't separate the sustain pedal from Leslie speed control (so every time I hit the sustain pedal, while playing an acoustic piano via external sound module, the Leslie speed would change, and you couldn't disable this.
Had I been able to get any kind of support from studio logic, The eventual outcome (me returning the unit after a month) might have been quite different.. But I couldn't get a hold of them no matter how hard I tried. Had I been able to get a hold of GG, perhaps things would be different. Despite all the problems I really liked the Numa!!

I ended up returning it it to the musical instrument vendor I purchased it from and purchased the Numa II organ from Kraft Music. The NUMA II is far superior to the Numa 1. The tones are more Hammond like, the Leslie sim and overdrive are improved and the most notable improvement is the keyboard action. Hello Richard,I'm sorry for the time you lost, but if theserial number is the one you sent there was no reason why the instrument couldnot be updated, unless it was serviced and had the internal boards substitutedwith older ones, not updatable with the new Software despite the externalserial number.... but this is only a personal and extreme supposition, since noother reason is know for what you verified. In any case your decision is probably theright one, unless you ask the dealer to make the update for you and get someanswer on the matter.Let me know, thanks and regards !
