Does the VR-09 send *anything* for drawbar info? If so, it might be
possible to use a MIDI Solutions Event Processor to convert the data.
(It can convert NRPN or SysEx messages into CCs.)

As far as the Ocean Beach DB-1, yes it's out of production. There might
still be some NOS around or used pieces around, but you'll have to hunt
for them. Like a lot of niche products, the demand for the DB-1 also
has ebb and flow, and I think the C2D/NE4D/NE5D sort of killed off the
major market.
