Here's a suggestion that would make reading your post a whole lot easier; use this .  It's called a period. Often used to punctuate sentences thereby making them easy to read. Thanks bc

Thank you everyone for your thoughts i did have if for a week so tried every way to love it but like Graig says it may be not for me i was using it with a nord stage ex Barry as i said before when on slow speed  the sound seemed to go across to each speaker which sounded ok but on build up and fast it seemed really harsh i was putting it through a Studiomaster Horizon and tried all kinds of eq i was lucky a friend let me borrow it for a week to try such a shame cause i read great things about it, coming from you guys my friend has an xk3c and it sounds great through that so the vent itself has no probs i might have a look at the new nord 5d i heard the leslie sim is better, like to hear your thoughts on that  anyway thanks again guys good keeping in touch with you all love from England  allan

Allen, the vent II is basically the same algorithm, with some very minor tweaks which, as far as I know, won't make a difference. The vent in stereo through 2 JBL's should be a good way to audition the vent (unless someone else here has any other ideas). So you've probably given the vent a fair audition..  If you don't like it, you don't like it..  Maybe, the vent is not for you. As I said, you're not the first person to dislike the vent..

  Allan,
A couple thoughts... When you run an external Leslie effect you have to make sure that the full internal Leslie effect is turned off and that means both the Leslie (rotation effect) and the amp or cabinet simulation. If you have both Leslie effects on it will sound phasey, which is pretty obvious, but if you leave the amp or cabinet on it will also sound weird. this "re-amping" or double amping could account for the loudness on certain tones.. Lots of people have made the mistake of just stopping the Leslie rather than turning it off.
If the Leslie is truly turned off the ventilator should sound awesome on your stage..  ;-). That said, you wouldn't be the first person to suggest that they don't like the sound of the ventilator. You have to remember that the vent is simulating a stereo mic'd Leslie, and if you're looking for that "Leslie bouncing off the walls in your family room" kind of sound , that's not what you're going to get from a vent.
So double check to make sure your Leslie sim is really off.. You want to put raw organ tones through the vent.. Try that.. Hope this helps..
