Here is a guitar based pop ballad we did. This is the final version. I added the Hammond (I play Hammond, piano and write for the 5-piece horn section).
I played the Hammond to add some country and gospel flavor. Sure the alto sax (the guy is great, but since he is a band member I'm biased) turns this into "easy listening" - not for everyone.

The "Hammond is: MIDI programmed on top of the acoustic audio tracks, NI B4 II through a Neo Vent on stop and guitar mode to use just a little tube drive (the tube drive of the NI B4II is a joke) and we ran that signal through a 1982 solid state Elkatone Leslie (serviced) with the classic 3 microphone setup, changing speed while recording. The expression pedal movements were created in post production via volume automation (so we don't have expression pedal and volume automation on top of that which makes little sense).

Any comments on the timbre most welcome. And if you don't think this is too cheezy: hit that "thumbs up" willya! Just joking ;-D
