Hi Anne,

No problem. Just been reading some of your previous posts and realise that, like me, you're a fellow Brit and play a Roland VR-09. I've only been playing clonewheels for 3 years or so and have graduated to the VR-09 from playing the GSi VB3 1.4 VST plug-in live on stage throiugh a succession of keyboards. IMO the VR-09 is OK but I still prefer VB3, but the VR-09 gives me maybe 80% as good a sound as VB3 but without the hassle. I also pass the VR-09 through a GSi Burn rotary effects unit (although that's currently undergoing warranty repairs in Italy). Sometime in 2016 though, I plan to return to VB3 - either the long awaited VB3II VST plug-in update or, more likely, via the GSI Gemini Dual DSP Sound Module (the table-top version, due for release early in 2016). I'll then use the VR-09 as a controller stacked over (or possibly under) an M-Audio Axiom 61 controller which I bought a few months ago as part of my 'master plan'. And if the Gemini module ever goes down on me, I can easily revert the VR-09 alone. The object of the exercise, as I see it it, is to get the most realistic Hammond sound I can whilst keeping the weight down to manageable proportions. Both the VR-09 and, to a greater extent, the Axiom 61, leave a bit to be desired in the actual keybed department, but you can't have everything, although I guess you can if you're prepared to pay for it and lug heavy gear around.

Keep an eye on this group as I'm sure I'll be reporting on the new rig when it's in place - I think it'll be something special.
