Subject:RE: Neo ventilator stereo question
Exactly my question. I would be plugging both vent outputs into the recorder. The question is what to monitor once I do that… either left or right OR sum both left and right to a mono channel? Summing both into a mono channel doesn’t sound like it would be the way to go… but then again maybe? (Easy to do from the recorder).
A little auditory experimentation and maybe even measuring might be in order, unless somebody actually knows the signal path details.

...I think he means when you've plugged into both outputs (L and R) but only one is audible (like one is plugged into and audio amp and the other into a recorder that isn't being monitored). So each is getting 1/2 the stereo sound - would the 1/2 you could hear (or that's being recorded) sound worse than the mono sound of the mono output with nothing in the other output? I figure the mono output sends a mono signal when nothing is plugged into the other output and send's 1/2 a stereo signal when something is plugged into the other output...

Andy,
When the Ventilator is in Leslie Mode, the Left input has absolutely no function: it's tied off by a 1Meg resistor to ground, and that's it.
When in Bypass Mode, the Left input connects to the Left Output.

Hi all,
Hoping somebody might know whether the ventilator effect from the Mono/Right output changes depending on whether the Left output is tapped into?
I want to record a live gig coming up and only have a mono amplification, was thinking sending stereo to the recorder but just using one of the channels for the live sound…. But I definitely don’t want to compromise the live sound.
Thanks in advance!
