...I think he means when you've plugged into both outputs (L and R) but
only one is audible (like one is plugged into and audio amp and the other
into a recorder that isn't being monitored). So each is getting 1/2 the
stereo sound - would the 1/2 you could hear (or that's being recorded)
sound worse than the mono sound of the mono output with nothing in the
other output? I figure the mono output sends a mono signal when nothing
is plugged into the other output and send's 1/2 a stereo signal when
something is plugged into the other output...
