Subject:MOJO vs HX3 soundcloud clip

For anyone interested in the HX3 module vs Mojo I've posted a clip of the two on soundcloud here:

It's a little over 3 minutes in length, and it's just me improvising on the Mojo for the first minute and a half and then on the HX3 (there is a couple seconds of silence in between the two clips). Both the Mojo and the HX3 are running through the same mixer with no effects other than a bit of reverb from the mixer. That said I had to adjust the leslie horn/rotor balance on the HX3 because the factory settings were WAY to bright. I set the leslie balance to 60 out of 200 to give it a bit more bottom. The settings I used were exactly the same on both; upper 884300008 lower 888000000 and I used pedal to lower settings on the lower manual split the pedal tones were set to 41. I attempted to add approximately the same amount of overdrive on both, and if I recall correctly I added soft 3rd percussion towards the end of both clips. After listening to both, you might think that the Mojo sounds a bit muddy compared to the HX3, but that is easily remedied by selecting a different tonewheel set (I generally use the 59 C3 tonewheel set which is much brighter) and there are a number of ways to make the Mojo brighter.. on the other hand it's hard to duplicate the warmth and fullness of the bottom end of the Mojo on the HX3.
