As far as I know, all the vent models from the original to the vent 2 use the same basic algorithm, with only a few minor tweaks along the way. The Ventilator 2 has a new level of editability perhaps, but i don't think that the vent 2 sounds noticeably more authentic. In fact, I think that most people when describing the mini-vent or the vent 2 would say "it's got the same great ventilator sound"!
