Subject:Re: Loving the Roland VR-09
The DBeam is not very useful in the VR09, IMO. It's too bad that they
didn't make it so that you could assign it to one of the synth or effects
parameters.
Currently, I use it to:
1 - play really-bad-sound spring reverb crashes to annoy my band mates
2 - produce a gunshot noise in Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" before the
guitar solo
3 - produce a vibraslap sound in "Don't Fear The Reaper" during the guitar
solo
4 - make the saxophone sound growl (it sounds terrible alone but okay in
band context)
5 - make the N.Trumpet patch stop doing that stupid glissando thing
If anybody else has a use for it...please share!
