This thread was a reminder that I really wanted a backup supply for both my Casio PX-3 and Hammond/Suzuki SK1-73. I hadn’t realized they were the same voltage, current, polarity and plug size. I shopped around and the best deal was the Amazon link originally supplied by Jim Alfredson. I ordered it on a Friday and it was delivered Sunday (Easter weekend). With Amazon Prime, the shipping was no additional charge.



The Casio AD12-MLA is a quality piece of gear with the detachable molded inline AC mains plug.



Don’t skimp and purchase anything of inferior quality. I did purchase a cheap supply for my Roland PCR-800 and one of the spade 120 vac pins fell off! A cheap supply could do damage if the regulator fails, not to mention losing power.

Thanks for the links. What’s funny is that Amazon told me I’d already bought this exact power supply before (the one for my Privia croaked awhile back). So I guess I already have a backup.



Has anyone found a source for an equivalent inline transformer? Wall-warts tend to fall out of the receptacle at inopportune times, and yes I know I could add a wall-wart cord adapter thing, but I much prefer laptop-style “lump in the middle” adapters with a nice three-prong plug at the end. The original Hammond one is particularly nice because it uses a standard computer-style IEC-3 power cord on the transformer.
