Fox, wow another free thinker, unafraid to challenge the status quo..!!

Great comments, and your pepsi vs coke analogy is excellent, because what tastes good and what sounds good are both acquired tastes! Which raises the question, IF the Burn had come out before the Ventilator would we have all have come to prefer the Burn algorithm and be skeptical about a new algorithm coming from Neo Instruments? I expect so.

YES, as you point out, it's very odd to hear the statement "if you don't need all the extra function of the Burn, go pay $80 more for the Ventilator II", but that is the case here.. I understand some people saying that a great 122 sim and simplicity are key, and price is less of an issue. I get that. However, just keep in mind the harmonic beating example I mentioned earlier, and remember that when electing to purchase a Ventilator II over a Burn, you are choosing to pay more for a static effect with less functionality and no ability to implement fixes or OS updates. Like the original Ventilator and the Mini-Vent, the Ventilator II is a piece of hardware that will never change, it is what it is, and it never will be anything more than that (there doesn't appear to be any easy way to deliver fixes, or additional feature/function). Whereas, the Burn not only gives you more feature/functionality today, but also give you the ability to easily update the OS to deliver fixes and add feature/function at any time in the future. To me this is worth a lot.
