I agree.. there was no intention to compare Nords with Porta B's.. the thread is all about the Various Vents and their competition, and I don't think that there were any Vent II demos available from Lou's band site, just links to his great Allman Bros tribute band.. I listened to a bunch of their stuff and it sounds great!!! Well done Lou!!

I am having a bit of trouble with email today.. so if some weird half written notes appear on the forum 3 weeks from now, you've all been warned.

Hi Wes... I checked the first link before I sent it and just rechecked it and it works fine from here. thanks though for your alternative.

To the best of my knowledge, we're not comparing Porta B and Nord, but rather weighing Vent II against the original, Mini, a couple competing external sims and an onboard sim or two. LATF's comparative rigs came into play when Jeff and Lou chimed in and curiosity sent us on an expedition in search of Vent II demonstrative material from these guys, yielding little of relevance. it wasn't at all wasted effort though ... I got to hear an excellent Allman Bros. tribute band, if not how wonderful Vent II can make even a Porta B sound.
