I wrote about the Vent 11 when it first came out here, and I think Craig was a bit skeptical over my opinions of it, due you remember Craig? so, when I read Joan's opinion I thought YES! someone else thinks the same as me, thanks Joan.

I'm the friend of Tom Adamson who he mentioned in his post, and we have discussed the Vent difference's a lot and we both agree the Vent 11 is as close as your going to get to the real thing, where we differ though is with the Burn. I nearly bought one when it was first introduced, but hearing a demo on YouTube I didn't like the ramp up and down as much as the Vent, as Tom says "I love the way it captures the bending sound of speed up/ down" now to me that was one of the first things I remember and loved most about a Leslie when I first heard one many many years ago, and that has remained with me ever since, the Vent 11 does this perfectly in my opinion.


Another reason why I prefer the Vent is that it works on the KIS (keep it simple) principal, just like a real Leslie, now don't get me wrong, there are players that must love the Burn for all its features etc and that's fine, but totally wasted on me.
