As for many of the sounds with which we've been presented over the years, they seemed at times to be mere characachures, with exaggerated features intended to approximate the sounds of the instruments they were intended to emulate, frequently becoming new in-demand instrumental sounds unto themselves. Your example of the DX7 bell-like piano was excellent.

Keep up the great work, Norm. I love it and quite like what you're able to coax out of your new economy keyboard. Never apologize for it! It will just continue to evolve to higher levels.
