Craig... With all due respect, you need to start listening to real Hammonds and Leslie's again. Not only did that organ clone tone sound thin and inauthentic, when he switched from tremolo to stop the horns did not wind down at all.

And when you say "the sim didn't sound great on tremolo, overall I thought it was fine.", how is that acceptable? Where do you draw the line for how far off the instrument sounds until it's unacceptable? People are playing such crappy clones that they are losing touch with the real Hammond sound.

I totally dig that the VR09 is acceptable to many our of colleagues as a lightweight, quick set up Swiss Army knife instrument, but to use it in a Pink Floyd tribute band where they are investing so much time and money in recreating the sound seems strange to me. If they want light and portable, do tribute to that band and use a SK with a Ventilator.
