I still have my SG1 and the last time I saw Brian Auger, he was still playing one. Love that board but, by today's standards, the action is a total dog. It really is a great, versatile controller, but to my feel, much too sluggish for much other than A/E pianos, strings and slow synth pads. Mine doesn't even have enough snap to pull off satisfying clav slaps and forget about spanking and smearing an organ patch ala Lord's "Hush" intro. But, then again, it was my go-to piano for a really long time. .. maybe I just rode that horse completely into the ground!
