Call me the dissenter. I finally got to listen to the VR09 for about 3 hours last nite, as the keyboardist on the gig (I was playing bass) used one. Really loud. REALLY. LOUD.
It was o-kay....but I can honestly say that I wasn't excited by the organ or the sim.
This from a listening standpoint.

Dave's right, the biggest complaint is the keyboard, however a lot of us have just pushed through, gotten used to it, and don't have a problem with it.. It is a bit quirky, but it's one of the most versatile and best "bang for the buck" keyboards on the market.. It's got a good cross section of sounds for a studio.. you just can't beat it.. drawbar organ, good sample sounds and a Virtual Analog synth for this price.. !!
I like mine, and while the drawbar organ is not quite up to my Mojo standards but it's still very good.

I am so close to ordering a VR 09 from Sweetwater (they have a deal that includes a whole second set of tweaked voices). Would be used about 75% in home studio and rest of the time playing small gigs using organ pads mostly for fill ins.
Somebody talk me out of it... or I'm just going to have to buy one.
