Subject:Re: Roland VR-09 coming soon

I really am thinking about buying a VR 09. I've got an Alesis QS 6.2 that I bought new years ago, but I'm looking for something with some more updated sounds and features... and portablility. The VR 09 seems like it might be what I'm looking for. Still would keep the Alesis for studio work as it has some great sounds of its own too.

I've tried my best to hate this keyboard, mainly because I just hate the feel of the keyboard (subjective for sure!). I even joke about hoping it gets stolen so I can justify buying another SK1. But what it comes down to is the thing has some great sounds, and is super easy to perform with. I can't get rid of it! I use it over the SK on the polka gigs, and I have had to use it on a few gigs. It still felt like a toy to me, but I record everything and the tape doesn't lie, at the end of the night the thing does the job well. So enjoy your new keyboard!
