Subject:RE: Vb3 and Mavwricks
Guido posted on his FB page about 6 weeks ago that the 64 bit version of VB3 was under development, but he has previously expressed a dislike of Apple so I wouldn't be surprised to see the 64 bit VST out before the 64 bit AU.
He has no option but to move to 64 bit for future evolution of the Mojo motherboard and OS so releasing a 64 bit version of VB3 makes sense, once it is built he has no other cost for selling it apart from bandwidth and merchant fees.
I wouldn't be surprised if the VST version lags the Crumar version in terms of new features but I am cool with that.
I think too little credit is given to Guido and Andrea for what they have achieved in the past 18 months - first the Mojo, then the Burn, both class leaders, with DMC to come. And emails are answered inside 8 hours.
I am happy to add my voice to the chorus screaming for the 64 bit AU but I would rather be reliant on a successful outfit like GSI Crumar than on oufits like KeyB or the vastly larger Fatar studiologic.
And of course Craig is still waiting for Roland to address some of shortcomings in the VR-09 he found and reported on the first day of the VR-09‘s release (that's a joke Craig:)
