Subject:Re: Tinnitus

I found a quick fix but it's not for everyone's case, but it's worth a try. It is gonna sound weird, and I'm not sure of the science behind it but like I said it worked. And it doesn't cost a thing and you don't have to take anything! I had a fullnes in the ears that I was trying to make go away, and also I had ringing so loud at night it kept me awake. After trying everything I went to a friend's uncle who is into this homeopathic stuff. I was desperate! Well after sitting me down and talking to me for a while he theorized that what was happening was that before I go to bed I was working on mixing down studio stuff every night. I was way behind, so I'd do it for about three hours straight when my son went to bed. Here's where it gets a little weird, he told me that there's little chemicals that are responsible for carrying the sound info from your ears to your brain and if you do it for too long those things freak out when you walk away from it because of going from overstimulus to nothing, so they create "sound" for a while until things settle down, which is a while later. He told me by sitting and going for that long they don't get a chance to circulate through the body and replenish with new ones. He asked me to get up for ten minutes and take a walk every hour I was mixing. Like I said I'm not sure of the science but it went away for me. Every once and a while when under pressure I don't do this and sure enough that night it's back. Again, tinitus has many causes, loud noise (which I wasn't doing, I mix with comfortable levels) can also cause it. The fullness in my ears was totally unrelated to the ringing, that was a pinched verve in my neck enflaming and messing with those tubes. But the tinnitus is under control. Worth a try, especially if you're doing an intense practice at night.
