Bruce, thanks for the important info. yeah a 3 pos switch even on a real hammond rig, uses the stop position as a duplicate for chorale not unless you have a tie-in into the brake circuit on the leslie amp or use an EIS solid state relay which gives the ability to create brake or coast from a 3 pos switch.

Subject: Re: [CWSG] NORD HALFMOON
Goff,
The Nord halfmoon and the CU-1 use the same wiring, which is also the same as that used by the Ventilator (I). It's based on the later Hamm-Suz wiring style:
Tip -> Sleeve (GND) = Chorale
Ring -> Sleeve = Tremolo
The one thing to be aware of: The Nord halfmoon does NOT work as a 3-speed control on the Electro or Stage -- any model that I'm aware of. Early Nord products only accepted a sustain pedal type of switch to toggle the speed. Later models will accept a 2-wire latched input to change Chorale/Tremolo only. So, one could use a CU-1, Nord halfmoon, or the Ashby Solutions Gigger Halfmoon to control two speeds on an Electro 3 or Stage 2 -- with proper menu settings -- but the Off position would not work 'as advertised'; it would duplicate the Chorale setting.
