Ouch! Did that to the Achilles tendon on my left leg moving a 9' grand across a carpeted floor without a proper dolly back in 2000 ... ripped right off the tibia and coiled up at my heel. Felt like I'd been shot!!! They reattached it and that leg's pretty much back to normal. But there's a huge weight difference between the 200# or so of half a B-3 and the 600# of a third of a Mason & Hamlin CC series.

A 3' stage puts the ROK handles just at shoulder level for me, but I typically transfer my grip to the horizontal rod just above the bottom support angle on the ROK. Always use my knees, and never my back to lift.

The Leslies are always the more difficult to heft up onto a higher stage because of the bulk. My 122s are stock so the dollies are mounted through the threaded t-sleeves on the bottom and there are no handles on the sides. I have to remove the lower baffle panels, squat, reach around from the front and grab just below the woofer shelf. My knees are starting to give out, so I probably won't be able to keep doing this much longer.

Fortunately, the Burn sounds good enough (and the GSi/Crumar folks succeeded in getting my remote-switching issues resolved ... best customer service in the business!!!) that feel I can finally leave the Leslies at home if I want. Thanks to Burn, I can get that heavy distortion at low volume (like I can on my MOJO).

And further fortune, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) enforcement is causing more and more of the corporate-owned venues to fully-comply, which includes ramps or lifts for elevated platforms/stages here in Colorado (things were pretty much already that way in the Bay Area), so I almost always have a choice. Of course, the sound guys will always prefer the Burn ... I still prefer a pair of 122s ... but perhaps a 2nd Burn is in my future. That is, of course, assuming that Guido's early April Fools spoof (with it's three Leslie sims) is true vaporware ... otherwise, I'll take that one ... even if the 88-note board is in the wrong place.

Best,
Fox

Wow -- be careful, my friend. Like you, I've prided myself on bullying my Leslie up three stairs into my living room, and moving PA subwoofers in and out of clubs. Then, last summer, I tried to move something a little too big and heavy -- and ripped my biceps tendon off the bone. It's been put back, and I'm kind of back to normal, but I'm told it will never quite be the same. That 3-foot stage could be your undoing! :-(
