Subject:Re: expression pedal
Hi Leo,
+10,000 on the FC7. I haven't used another volume/expression pedal
since I bought my first one in 1984 (for a Yamaha DX9).
________
The Ventilator version of the Gigger Halfmoon will work with an XK-1c,
with the 'Foot Switch - Device' set to CU-1. This is also true of the
XK-3, XK-3c, SK1, SK2, Nord C1/C2, etc. -- any organ that supports a
Hammond-Suzuki CU-1 halfmoon.
The mounting holes will not align with the CU-1's mounting bracket; in
fact, there's no lower 'L' bracket on the Gigger Halfmoon. However,
there are three other ways to mount it:
* If you want to be able to remove the Halfmoon, use the Velcro strips
we provide. Put the strip on the back of the Halfmoon and the front
face of the organ.
* If you want to mount it (semi-)permanently, get some 3M or Loctite
'VHB' adhesive from Home Depot, Walmart, or Lowes. This red-backed
tape is similar to the older 3M foam tape, except that its a) clear
and rubbery; and b) much stronger. A 1 sq. inch piece of VHB will
support a 7-8 lb. load. I use a 1x3.25-inch piece to attach my
Halfmoon to my NE3 -- and can almost the Halfmoon as a carrying
handle for the Electro! (If you're careful, VHB can be removed
without a trace later.) Since the cable on the Gigger Halfmoon is
removable, there's no compelling reason *not* to permanently attach
the Halfmoon to the organ.
* There are also holes for two mounting screws -- but not in the same
place as on a H-S halfmoon.
Regards,
