Subject:RE: guitar joins organ clone list
I guess I’m no organ connoisseur (have a CX-3, and actually play guitar way better than keyboards),
but I listened to the whole demo, and not that I expected something better than a real organ,
I was rather impressed that it was passable in certain contexts and afforded some interesting
possibilities.
Just to level set, I remember when I was “a kid” going to the fancy guitar shop in Chico, CA
(Sounds by Dave for the locals) and trying out a something-or-other EH Octave pedal. It was
a sub harmonic bass synthesizer that did a pretty bad job. Comparing that to this new thing is
like night and day. Being a programmer of sorts and an electronics hack, it makes me sad I didn’t
learn DPS’s and come up with the idea myself.

No competition for any clonewheel I know of. the old "guitorgan" from the 70s sounded better to me...but this thing could be more convincing if played more like an organ and wiTh actual keyboard voicings. you would think these guys could have found a Vox when demoing the "Continental" rather than showing the bass section of a Farf CC!
